An applicant is challenged with mobility-based disabilities.
When receiving a service dog, the applicant must be at least 16+ years of age.
Each SDit/SD Team must be able to be active members of our community, attending the Puppy Meet-Ups virtually on ZOOM and the attend the first Saturday Field Trips at Brookside Park or the MobilityDog’s office in Pasadena.
Be an active, hands-on member of their Service Dog Team, participating in daily training and playtime and communicating with service dog trainers.
Applicants must show an understanding and ability to care for their Service Dog’s basic needs, which include grooming, food, water, veterinarian care, and tools. $350.00 nonrefundable application fee
An applicant will be asked to participate weekly by posting in a private online group and sharing photos, attending the Birthday Party Event on the First Saturday of October, and attending the ARF! Accessibility Resource Fair Fundraising event, First Saturday in May.
$1500.00 a year is the donation commitment of each Service Dog Team to MobilityDog. Will you send a check in a Service Dog’s Team Name?
Transfer Fees are $5,000.00 for locals in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Ventura County. Outside of these counties and California, it is a $25,000.00 transfer fee.

Handler’s Application Process
A mobility dog is a well-trained and working service dog that assists individuals with permanent mobility disabilities and challenges. At MobilityDog, we raise loving, confident dogs with unique personalities to enhance the quality of life for the mobility-disabled community through functional independence, giving them confidence and a voice in the broader community. We work with people over 16+ years of age. There is an application process that includes a Meet & Greet, Meet a SD, and an Overview with SD Committee to be matched with a service dog. Handlers become part of the MobilityDog Community with meetups the first Saturday of each month for training, fieldtrips, and more.
